Do’s and Don’ts in MHT CET
Dear Students, MHTCET is a doorway to fulfil your engineering aspiration. Preparation for the same would be cumbersome for quite some times. It has been observed that students make some common mistakes while attempting this examination. Hence, in this blog we would like to provide some “Do’s and Don’ts”, so the mistakes won’t be repeated and the path to engineering will be easy.
Do’s while solving the questions of MHT CET
- Please categorise chapters according to the weightage.
- Prepare short notes in your language for reference.
- Practice more and more Numerical.
- Don’t memorise reactions in chemistry paper but practice more.
- Prepare the timetable.
- Follow books properly, especially state board text books.
- Please have consistency in Study (approx. 4 hrs./day)
- It is very important to ‘Be Positive’ during the last days of exams.
- Try to visualise and correlate reactions with real life events which would make it easy for you to memorise.
- Utilise all of the given time for the exam and don’t rush for submission.
- Focus on understanding the concepts throughout your MHT CET Preparation. It’s essential to get the concepts for the better solutions of the questions.
- Emphasise on the topics which carry maximum marks. The topics carrying maximum marks can serve us to secure a seat in a college of our choice.
- Practice your weak chapters. Giving more attention to the topics containing more marks is not enough, you need to practice the weak chapters too.
- At the end of the day take mock tests and analyse. Don’t worry if you score less marks in mock tests, try to avoid the mistakes every time. Minimum 10 mock tests are necessary.
- Check your speed and accuracy while writing mock tests. This will help you to monitor your progress
- Integration, Differential equation, Derivative, Matrix etc. are very important chapters in Maths. Focus on these topics during preparation.
Don’ts while solving the questions of MHT CET
- While taking the test, do not start with your weak areas. This will demoralise you. When you come to know that you are unable to solve the question, an extra stress will start to build up.
- Avoid guessing answers while going through the question paper for the first time.
- Guessing creates confusion and stress. It is highly recommended to start solving the question paper as soon as you get it. After solving the first question, your enthusiasm will boost.
- If a question or calculation takes too much time, skip it and move on to the next question. Due to lengthy calculation, the net time allotted for solving questions will reduce. To avoid the final minute rush, it’s better to skip such questions at first.
- Avoid using any shortcut methods. A blank sheet is provided for doing rough work, use it, instead of taking shortcuts.
- Instead of focusing on the whole syllabus, focus on the topics which you are perfect at.
All the best for upcoming MHT CET 2021
